In September 2023, 7 new applied Artificial Intelligence (AI) courses will be available for Master’s degree students at the Université Côte d’Azur.
Each applied AI course has been developed in collaboration with a Graduate School (EUR) or an institute to cater to the specific needs of students from diverse disciplines. The EFELIA team worked primarily with EURs outside the AI core (ELMI, ODYSSEE, CREATES, HEALTHY, LIFE and LEX SOCIETY), and with the INSPE (Higher National Institute of Teaching and Education) de Nice. These courses present the main principles of the families of AI methods that apply to the EUR and teach disciplinary knowledge that integrates the recent evolutions brought by AI in the discipline.
Each course provides a transdisciplinary foundation, followed by a discipline-specific segment. During the transdisciplinary phase, students will gain insight into the nature of AI and dispel any misconceptions. They will delve into what AI can genuinely achieve, and the ethical and social implications that accompany the rapid advancements in this technology. In the discipline-specific segment, students will explore the impacts of AI within their specialized fields. By focusing on their areas of expertise, they will acquire practical skills and knowledge.
