WHAT IS A DATA CHALLENGE?

A data challenge is a competition aimed at solving specific problems using data analysis. The challenge is organized by a steering committee made up of MIA, ClusterIA, 3IA Côte d'Azur and Pôle SCS.

The data sponsor provides a suitable database for competitors to use as a source of information for the analysis. Participating competitors access this data via a dedicated platform. They then develop machine learning algorithms to answer the question posed.

At the end of the competition, the best competitors are awarded a prize in recognition of their work and the results obtained by the algorithm they have developed. In this way, data challenges stimulate innovation and problem-solving in a variety of fields.

OBJECTIVES

The aim of this call for projects is to select a data challenge subject who will benefit from 4 months' end-to-end support from members of the steering committee.

This approach pursues the following interests and objectives:
  • to encourage the development of precise analysis and assistance tools using artificial intelligence,
  • to promote innovation,
  • for competitors, an opportunity to be spotted by major players in the field, and to unearth new talent,
  • demonstrate the concrete benefits of using sponsor data,
  • enrich the catalog of algorithms shared with the Côte d'Azur data community.
This event is co-organized by 3IA Côte d'Azur, Le Village by CA, POLE SCS, ClusterIA, and Maison de l'Intelligence Artificielle (MIA).
