The 2019 Fundamental Research Trophy of Pôle de compétitivité SCS for Benoît Miramond and David Gesbert

Benoît Miramond and David Gesbert were among the 8 laureates of the 2019 Fundamental Research Trophy of Pôle de compétitivité SCS.  
 
Two trophies were awarded to Fundamental Research at the 2019 SCS Awards Ceremony. 
The first trophy was awarded by Trusted Objects to Benoît Miramond. Benoît Miramond is full Professor at the laboratory LEAT (Laboratoire d’Electronique, Antennes et Télécommunications) of Université Côte d’Azur. He is currently the head of the Neuromorphic Engineering Group from LEAT. He holds a 3IA chair funded on the topic “Bio inspired AI from neurosciences to embedded autonomous devices” (Axis 3: AI for Computational Biology and Bio-inspired AI). 

The second trophy was awarded by Docaposte to David Gesbert. David Gesbert is a Professor and head of the Communications Systems Department of EURECOM. He is also heading the Foundations and Algorithms group. He holds a 3IA chair funded on the topic “Internet of Learning Thing, a machine learning approach to future IoT networks” (Axis 4: AI for Smart and Secure Territories).
