The fourth edition of the French Conference on Artificial Intelligence in Biomedical Imaging (IABM 2026) will take place in Lyon from March 9 to 11, 2026.

The goal of this event is to review the latest methodological advances in artificial intelligence applied to biological and medical imaging, as well as their clinical and preclinical applications. The conference brings together a multidisciplinary community of mathematicians, computer scientists, physicists, biologists, and physicians.

In continuity with previous editions, this year’s program will feature invited talks by experts covering a broad thematic spectrum — from image acquisition to algorithm explainability — as well as poster sessions and a half-day dedicated to the Young Researchers Network of the community.

Abstract submissions (open from November 15, 2025 to December 10, 2025)

New features to this Lyon edition:

  • Organizing the Young Researchers Network session before the main conference to better integrate newcomers to the community;
  • Extending poster session durations to foster more interaction;
  • Introducing highlight oral sessions to showcase the work of young researchers selected on abstract by the scientific committee;
  • Dedicating an oral session to clinical and industrial technology transfer projects;
  • Holding flash meetings (job or collaboration dating) with our industrial and academic sponsors;
  • Offering a tutorial on a current topic. This year, we have chosen to focus on Physics-Informed Machine Learning (PIML, PINNs).
