3IA Côte d'Azur organizes an "AI Study Groups with Industry", based on the model of the popular "European Study Groups with Industry" (ESGI). These study groups are internationally recognized as problem-solving forums for knowledge transfer.
The concept
An ESGI called "3IA Research Week for Companies" and dedicated to AI will take place in Sophia Antipolis (Inria, Kahn building)THE EVENT HAS BEEN POSTPONED - NEW DATES WILL BE ANNOUNCED SHORTLY
It will gather Ph.D. students and post-doc researchers from Université Côte d'Azur and its partners (Inria, CNRS, Eurecom, Inserm, Skema business school, Ecole de l'Air et de l'Espace, Centrale méditerranée) and industrial partners from the Sophia Antipolis area, focusing on AI technology.
It will also opened to Ph.D. students and post-doc research from the other laureates of the IA Cluster call.
During one week, young researchers (Ph.D. students, post-doc researchers) in AI work in small groups on problems coming from industrial partners. By the end of the week, the first step towards a solution is generally identified, opening the doors to future further developments.
Week organization
- On Monday morning, all topics of study will be presented by the industrial partners.
- Then, each group of students (made up of 4 to 5 students) gets some more precise information on their topic and the work starts.
- During the week, groups are autonomous, but industrial partners and a team of academics remain available to help whenever needed.
- On Friday morning, all groups present their result.
