A wide range of collaboration options is available so that each company can find an AI solution that is adapted to their specific needs, including:

Size: large group, SME, start-up, etc.
Time frame: short, medium or long term.
Strategic objectives: fundamental or applied research, software development, prototyping, commercialization.
The level of internal skills in AI.

Collaborating together in 4 steps

Set up the type of AI collaboration that is best suited to the company's needs
Identify the most relevant academic researchers to be involved
Establish the budget and identify the different phases of the AI project
Define an efficient framework for the partnership contract that addresses the issues associated with the intellectual property of the results and their use in relation with the technology transfer services of the relevant academic partners

Financing

Collaborative projects are co-financed by the partner company. In the event that the company needs additional funding, the 3IA Côte d'Azur Institute has the experience and network necessary to identify additional sources of funding from organizations that support innovation: BPI France, IDEX, French Tech, the Region.
For projects aimed at creating start-ups, the project can be set up, and can be connected with incubator organizations (Incubateur PACA Est, INRIA Start-up Studio, CNRS Rise, IDEX AAPs, etc.) and organizations that financially support technological maturation (SATT SE, Canceropole PACA, BPI France).

Get to know our Deep Learning School

Our annual Deep Learning School saw a significant boost in attendance this year, with a 50% increase in active participation from industry and academic partners.
This event was intended to show solidarity, to demonstrate our commitment and support to partner companies who are suffering from on-going damage as a consequence of the Covid-19 pandemic.
Over the past 3 years, more than 1000 engineers, researchers and PhD students, coming from both the public and private sector, shared ideas and experiences. This program was created by experts in Deep Learning and offers an introductory and advanced training for scientists and professionals from all backgrounds.
