GeMSS/Statlearn will be a spring school dedicated to deep generative modeling, to be held at Inria Sophia Antipolis March 31st to April 4th, 2025.

GeMSS/Statlearn will be targeted towards PhD students working with data science and/or AI broadly, and for whom generative modeling potentially plays a part in their projects.

Basic lectures will be given by Jes Frellsen (Technical University of Denmark), Pierre-Alexandre Mattei (3IA Chairholder, Inria, Université Côte d'Azur), and Jakub Tomczak (Technical University of Eindhoven, author of the deep generative modelling textbook). Invited lecturers include Yingzhen Li (Imperial College London), Stephan Mandt (U. of California Irvine), Aude Sportisse (CNRS, Grenoble), and Anna Korba (ENSAE), Gilles Louppe (University of Liège), more will be announced soon.

GeMSS/Statlearn is the temporary merge of Statlearn, a scientific event of the French Society of Statistics (SFdS) that has been organized since 2010, and GeMSS, a generative modeling summer school founded in 2023.

Applications are open for 2025, and will close on January 27th.
