Presentation
The Autumn Institute in Artificial Intelligence (IA2) aims to offer a generalist school in artificial intelligence, in order to provide an overview of the different sub-disciplines of artificial intelligence and their main techniques.
This edition of IA2 2024 focuses on the role of artificial intelligence as a determining factor in the future of humanity, as it contributes to its applications to considerably transforming the lives of individuals and having an impact on human communities. More specifically, this school aims to address the following questions:
• What role does AI play in the relationship between the citizen and the administration or government?
• Who uses this technology and for what purpose?
• How does the use of AI influence power relations in policy-making and citizens' trust in democratic institutions?
Programme
The
programme of this autumn school, spread over 5 days (from Monday October, 14 to Friday October, 18), is composed of fundamental courses (mainly in English):
• Aggregation of judgements for collective decision-making (Arianna Novaro, Université Paris 1)
• AI against Online Disinformation (Paolo Papotti, EURECOM)
• Responsible AI (Srdjan Vesic, CRIL)

• Adaptive and collaborative multi-agent systems (Aurelie Beynier, Sorbonne Université)
• Artificial intelligence and ethics (Raja Chatila, Sorbonne Université)
• AI, economics and democracy (Simone Vannuccini, Université Côte d’Azur)
