Olivier Humbert and Juliette Raffort-Lareyre Honored at the 2025 Palmes de la Médecine Région Sud
The 3IA Côte d'Azur is proud to announce that two of its researchers have been recognized at the prestigious 2025 Palmes de la Médecine Région Sud ceremony.
Dr. Juliette Raffort-Lareyre, 3IA Côte d'Azur Fellow, consultant in medical biology at Nice University Hospital, received the "Palme Espoir" (Rising Hope Award). Her research team focuses on applications of artificial intelligence for patients with vascular diseases, working on decision-support systems through a translational approach that includes biomarker identification, automation of vascular imaging analysis, and development of predictive models.
Professor Olivier Humbert, 3IA Côte d'Azur Chairholder, was awarded the "Palme E-santé et Intelligence Artificielle" (Digital Health and Artificial Intelligence Award). An Associate Professor in Nuclear Medicine & Biophysics, his research work is performed within the imaging department at the Antoine Lacassagne Center and in the TIRO laboratory, which works on metabolomics and oncologic imaging. His work focuses on applying AI algorithms to healthcare, particularly using radiomics and metabolomics data from PET/CT images to predict treatment responses in oncology.
The Palmes de la Médecine awards, organized annually in the French Riviera region, recognize healthcare professionals for their outstanding commitment and innovation in patient care. These distinctions highlight the cutting-edge research being conducted at 3IA Côte d'Azur in applying artificial intelligence to critical healthcare challenges.
