AICO Technology, led by Edgar Lemaire, is a start-up specializing in embedded artificial intelligence. Its flagship innovation, SPLEAT, is an Artificial Intelligence (AI) processor designed for highly constrained systems, such as drones and satellites. It effectively reduces the energy consumption of AI to deploy it in embedded systems.
The company emerged from more than eight years of research at the Laboratory of Electronics Antennas and Telecommunications (LEAT), under the supervision of CNRS and Université Côte d'Azur. It was awarded a Grand Prize in the i-PhD competition in 2024 for its work on SPLEAT and its potential impact in the satellite, drone, and defense sectors. AICO Technology was also a winner of the SophI.A Awards in 2023.
