Math Study Groups with Industry (MSGI) are internationally recognized as problem-solving forums for knowledge transfer. During one week, young researchers (Ph.D. students, post-doc researchers) in AI work in small groups on problems coming from industrial partners. By the end of the week, the first step towards a solution is generally identified, opening the doors to future further developments.

  • The week is organized as follows:
    • On Monday morning, all topics of study will be presented by the industrial partners.
    • Then, each group of students (composed of 4 to 5 students) gets some more precise information on their topic and the work starts.
    • During the week, groups are autonomous, but industrial partners and a team of academics remain available to help whenever needed.
    • On Friday morning, all groups present their result.

All along the week, computational facilities will be available, as well as free on-site lunches and coffee breaks.

  • A MSGI dedicated to AI is organized at Sophia Antipolis (Inria, Kahn building) during the week Jan. 30 – Feb. 3, 2023.

It will gather Ph.D. students and post-doc researchers from the four 3IA Institutes (Paris, Toulouse, Grenoble and Nice) and industrial partners from the Sophia Antipolis area, focusing on AI technology.

The list of topics and the expected industrial partners will be soon available.

  • To participate :
    • Please register as soon as possible, and before January 20th.
    • The organization team will announce the selected candidates and the constitution of the groups/topics by January 23th.
    • These weeks of study in groups with industry are usually a very nice experience for Ph.D. students and post-doc researcher, so do not hesitate to apply.

You can take a look at the previous edition of the MSGI (topics, results...)!
