Nicholas Ayache et Marc-Olivier Gauci invited speakers at Digital Twin Day - French academy of Medicine

Nicholas Ayache and Marc-Olivier Gauci are invited speakers at the Digital Twin Day organized by the French Academy of Medicine.

Digital twins in medicine, tomorrow or already today?

The National Academy of Medicine presents an exceptional day of reflection, discussion, and perspectives on digital twins in medicine, to be held on Thursday, June 19, 2025, at their premises in Paris.

A rapidly emerging technology, the digital twin promises to transform medicine in its most fundamental dimensions: from diagnosis to prevention, from surgery to training.

But what do we really mean by 'digital twin'?
What are the stakes, benefits, limitations, and ethical, economic, and technical challenges?

Throughout this day, experts from the Academy, INRIA, École polytechnique, clinical research, and the hospital sector will provide their insights on The foundations of the digital twin and its integration into tomorrow's medicine:
  • Its role in prediction, prevention, and the care pathway;
  • Its contribution to surgery;
  • Its combined impact on medical training and expertise sharing.
Renowned speakers, dynamic panel discussions, and multidisciplinary debates will punctuate this day dedicated to innovation, scientific rigor, and ethics.

Mark this date in your calendars and register now to attend the event in person or remotely.
