Hervé Delingette, 3IA Chairholder, answers our questions on the impact of artificial intelligence in medical sciences.
Hervé Delingette, AI Cluster 3IA Côte d'Azur Chairholder and Research Director at Inria, works at the intersection of medical image analysis, machine learning, and computational medicine.
His research has concrete applications in lung cancer diagnosis and respiratory disease, notably through his involvement with the IHU RespirERA excellence center dedicated to respiratory health (Nice).
In this short interview, he explores what AI can already do for patients today, what it changes in medical practice, and where its current limitations lie, before sharing what gives him hope for the future of AI in medicine.
