HACKATHON SOC[IA]L: interdisciplinary approaches to social challenges using artificial intelligence

Centered around three of the United Nations' 2030 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) (good health and well-being, gender equality and climate action), this Social Hackathon gives a diverse group of participants the opportunity to brainstorm and propose sustainable solutions to meaningful social dilemmas using Artificial Intelligence (AI) tools. Participants (including those with no computer programming experience) will have access to a selection of datasets and no-code AI tools to implement their ideas. You will be working as part of a multidisciplinary team totackle these difficult societal issues. It is important to note that technical and programming skills will not be a priority in the final assessment, and that other aspects are more important, such as a comprehensive analysis of the societal impacts of a challenge, approach and solution.

The event will take place over three days (from the evening of Friday November 29 to the evening of Sunday December 1), during which students from levels L1 to M2 will brainstorm in teams of three during hacking sessions, attend enlightening presentations by guest speakers, consult with qualified mentors on site and present a final solution to a panel of judges, where they will have the chance to win prizes of at least 100 euros.
